I will probably make it shorter too.
THANKS!
Joy Joyreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07390642536034678604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6641533035598121252.post-71330432499868078332013-05-26T19:29:40.665-07:002013-05-26T19:29:40.665-07:00Joy, I've just measured, and there is 2 yd rem...Joy, I've just measured, and there is 2 yd remaining. You are welcome to have this fabric. BUT, I don't think 2 yd is quite enough. I'd need to pull my pattern out and do a layout. Because the front dips down, that alone takes 1 yd and the back might fit on less than 1 yd, but I don't think you'd get the sleeve in. You could always make it sleeveless. I did a sleeveless version out of black and it looks great over my cowl neck blouses.

This lace is amazingly soft to feel. I too have very sensitive skin and generally NEVER wear lace because I find it too scratchy. But I've worn this top all day in class and then another day out to dinner, and didn't find myself scratching constantly.

So let me know if you want my leftover. I'd be happy to send it on to you. It would look great over a black, white or red cowl neck blouse.

Kindly,
GlendaSure-Fit Designshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13007109441960435665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6641533035598121252.post-61558868320410770542013-05-25T19:28:08.096-07:002013-05-25T19:28:08.096-07:00Do you think two yards would make that same top fo...Do you think two yards would make that same top for me? I haven't seen it anywhere, but I haven't been anywhere for a while. Is it soft against your skin? I sure would buy it from you if it isn't itchy. I have very sensitive skin, and that is why I don't care for lace trims. Lace fabric may be different.
It sure is all the rage right now.Joyreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07390642536034678604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6641533035598121252.post-65652293186665106712013-05-25T07:59:12.647-07:002013-05-25T07:59:12.647-07:00Joy, I think I might have at least a couple yards ...Joy, I think I might have at least a couple yards of it remaining. My girlfriend sent me miles of it!! She picked it up in Hawaii for $2.00/yd!! I might have time this weekend to measure and see how much I have left. Someone also told me that our local Springfield fabric store had this same fabric, though I haven't been it there in a while.Sure-Fit Designshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13007109441960435665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6641533035598121252.post-67526421946078311442013-05-25T07:29:50.891-07:002013-05-25T07:29:50.891-07:00I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that print! If there was a fabric store anywhere near, I would be on my way to find something like it. Thanks for the great pictures.

Hugs, JoyJoyreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07390642536034678604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6641533035598121252.post-13188628152748996092013-05-22T15:50:08.216-07:002013-05-22T15:50:08.216-07:00Hi Anna, Yes on most of the seams I used the serge...Hi Anna, Yes on most of the seams I used the serger, but for the hem, I just cut it and left it 'raw'. Because it was on the diagonal, it stretched out of shape when I tested either serging or clean finishing. Raw was fine...the net doesn't ravel/fray. It is very attractive. Thanks for sharing a closeup of the fabric.I couldn't tell it was like netting. Did you use a serger to put it together?
