We gave up on the welt pocket in the McCalls instructions - it's horrifically complicated and nearly impossible to figure out. I'm sure you can design something much easier and more elegant! It came on Saturday and I was testing it out yesterday with scraps. I love it! An amazing tool, worth every penny. I'll need a bit of practice with it, but oh my - what an amazing job it can do. I may even succeed in pressing a crease in my knit slacks that lasts more than five minutes. :)Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04097933921885308783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6641533035598121252.post-45153880049324363132014-04-27T16:58:41.984-07:002014-04-27T16:58:41.984-07:00YAY! Because my hips are curvy, side seam pockets tend to gap. Diagonal pockets can cause funny drag lines, even though the pants fit fine otherwise. My latest pattern has a more horizontal pocket, very much like Jayna's in the photo above. Fingers crossed this version will do the trick! I'm hoping to get the pants cut tonight...Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04097933921885308783noreply@blogger.com
