Let's not forget the kids!

I love it when all of you ladies send your finished garment photos to me.  Seriously...I love seeing what you've created and how well it fits.  But rarely do I see any SFD kid's clothes.  I know many of my customers sew for their grandkids and make some pretty darn cute clothes.

I'm grateful to Maree Weeks of MW Handmade Designs (in Australia) for sharing these photos of her boy's pants.

And here he shows us a little 'attitude'!

I encourage more of you to take photos of your children and grandkid's clothing and send them to me.  I know others would like to see your accomplishments for kids!

I'll also share with you this very appropriate commentary on hand made items that Maree posted on her FB page.  No matter whether you are selling your work or creating for yourself, you all know that we are hand artisans and put in countless hours (our labor of love) into every project!

  2. I Love the sentiment and the message but I can't get past the grammar. I only post this so someone can remake the pin. When buying from "a" hand maker, "you're" buying more than just an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks and months of frustration and moments of pure joy. You aren't just buying a thing, "you're" buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of "someone's" life. Most importantly, "you're" buying the artist more time to do something they are passionate about. (Mistakes are in quotes)

  3. Totally agree with Valbear! This is still floating around in 2020 without correcting the grammar! Please do so!
