Such an easy process to identify if you need to narrow the upper chest width of your sewing pattern. Watch Glenda the Good Stitch demonstrate how to measure your upper chest width and how to modify your sewing pattern if you need to.
Depending on how much and how dramatic the armhole scoop is, it may affect the sleeve cap. When the scooping is completed, simply measure the length of the armhole - front and back lengths separately - measure the length of the sleeve cap - front and back separately - and compare. The front of the cap should have approximately 3/8" - 1/2" of ease. The back of the cap should have approximately 1/2" - 5/8" ease. Adjust these lengths as needed. We have an excellent article to help you do this called Sleeve Facts...Sleeves and all their Quirkiness. Click Here
